TL DR 7700k, Z170 with a BIOS update to support 7th Gen, RTX 2080, 32GB of 2667Mhz, 1TB of SSD space which may help for load times.
I'm a fan of FANS and so have some beefy air cooling in my airflow-happy 750D, and as soon as I get my replacement Delta PFB1212UHE, I'm going to be replacing my current fan controller (Sentry 3, good for mainstream-fans, decent LCD display.) with the Lamptron CF525 so I don't need to use Molex, but rather can connect up some power cables to the fan controller and use granular analog speed dials so I can not have the full 252.85 CFM (really am so happy with this guy, my first one broke during the time in which I had an external fan connected up from the inside that was blowing air at my body, propped up on a pencil, the pencil slipped, the blades broke, thankfully I had a fan grill and it was on the side facing me, otherwise I may be dismembered right now.) being pushed out at times in favor of quieter system usage.~~
(one kit is 2666 and other is 2400, but I believe they both are clocked to 2666Mhz after XMP is turned on.) and a 1TB Samsung 860 EVO for programs that need to be loaded fast.
( GREAT I/O for functionality is why I chose the motherboard, and again, the CPU will probably be an 8600k or such, I managed to mod the case to allow an NH-D15 in there (it was dry fitted/test fitted with the motherboard to make sure the tolerances cleared.) and a Noctua 200mm intake.)Īnd if load times matter, I have 32GB of 2666Mhz speed. RTX 2080 (not sure, but prob is thermal throttled, but to be fair it is meant to be going into a new 380t Corsair build once I get an 8th Gen CPU for my H370M-ITX/ac I have from Asrock. I7 7700k (4.2Ghz, not big on overclocking myself, just the increased single core speed + the auto-overclock option on motherboard for sake of a tiny gain.)
Shame Nintendo doesn't like people enjoying their old but gold games.
and I really love AC:GC (aka AC:PG), Double Dash, and Wind Waker, but can no longer play them much at all, despite the compromises on the gamecube, the TV is just eye irritating and unusable. TL DR I have the proper items to play the gamecube, say if I can even repair some of the issues + find a NEW CRT TV that isn't dying/displaying symptoms of dying.
The GameCube unfortunately has some issues, either my original controller ( - ) died on the plug end, OR the Player1 port on the GC is bad, need to test it on the Wii sometime, but also memory slot A neds to have memory cards pushed up/supported a bit since the connection seems to be loose, and the 2nd controller I h ave (forgot how I obtained it, it's a bit grimy, it's a Nickelodeon Orange color (technically Yellow-Orange) the left analog stick moves, but doesn't detect until you get to the edges, meaning in Mario Kart: Double Dash you wind up ONLY drifting. I am looking to emulate since th CRT TV is dying, pretty fast now. I have recently installed Dolphin, this is my first foray into emulating, I own a CRT TV, I own an RF Modulator, I own a GameCube, the game itself, 4 memory cards, and 2 controllers. Further help for save file recovery from memory cards (if possible) or perhaps ways to repair loose memory card slots and/or replace controller ports if possible on the GameCube would be appreciated, but by no means is the original issue, more of a "how to play this now?" question, thank you very much r/Roms and also I guess thank you as well u/BulletBarry for talking about emulation in some of your old videos as well as name-dropping "Dolphin" and being openly advocating the purpose, reason, and good points on why emulation *should* be totally fine. I have found the ROM for AC:GC, thank you to u/sherl0k for linking me to edge|emulation indirectly on the "Gamecube links are dead" thread.
